My Rant About Porn Bloggers

There is an on-going trend amongst porn blogs and other online media outlets that I find to be very disturbing. I was reading one of my favorite gay porn blogs and there was a post featuring the latest model on RandyBlue. In this post they included not only his porn information and photos, but also his real name, occupation, location, stats, and personal MySpace page.

I can't even believe that any adult industry blogger would think that posting a model's person information is a good idea anymore. There is a reason why models have stage names and it isn't just for fun. What could possibly be the benefit in taking that away? To out-scoop other porn bloggers? To show us what you can do with Google? To brag about your stalker skills? What is it that justifies putting any model's emotional and physical well being at risk?

The reason I find it infuriating when a porn blog does this is because they are making money off the images and videos of the very models they expose. I'm sorry, I just kinda find that to be a poor business practice. I mean, why scare off these models from doing porn? Readers come to our blogs to see hot guys, so why make it harder for hot guys to feel comfortable doing porn!

I understand that I have a different perspective than many of the faceless porn blogs because I see what it takes to work with a model in the industry. Models have a lot to worry about with family, friends, work, and more- the last thing they need is some fag in Des Moines posting their personal information for everyone to read. Ever wonder why soon after a blog posts a model's personal profile that the profile is soon deleted?

I know most bloggers wouldn't like it if their real name and information was posted everywhere- so, it just seems like common sense that models deserve the same respect.

Couldn't agree with you more. What are these dumb-asses thinking? You do an excellent job with keeping personal information just that, personal.

We need to respect that information, and respect everyone's choice of what they want to share and what they don't. Being on a site is their choice and no it does not give anyone the right to seek out and make public anything they have not shared.

I will agree with you on one thing: porn stars should have stage names.
But not because I'm all about them maintaining privacy. That instantly becomes a non issue when you decide to fuck on the web for cash. These "sex performers" (cuz the word "actor" or "star" affixed to the word porn is a step up in class they don't quite deserve) should have stage names because the porn names they are given are every bit as fake and over the top as the situations you "amateur" porn makers put them in.

These fools strip off their clothes and bone for money... because the allure of quick cash and F list celebrity is too great to resist. These dumber than a bag of hair and better than average looking horny guys have little else in their arsenal of talents but looks, a big dick and the ability to shoot a big load. And sex, even really hot sex, doesn't take a lot of work. When you sell your body for money, there is ALWAYS a price that is paid. It's karmic. It's just the way it is. What respect do these sex performers deserve? Is your head so far up the overstretched ass of the gay porn industry that you can't see the distinction between a real actor/artist/performer and a porno boy?

And let me say here and now, I'm not some uptight religious freak who thinks porn shouldn't exist. I'm just a homo with a sense of self worth. Im posting on your blog because I obviously watch gay porn every now and again. It serves its function. As they say...it is what it is. And what it is...is PORN. The stigma may not be as negative as it used to be, but maybe that's part of the problem. Hot guys having sex in staged environments, for $$$, is kind of sad actually. And that you blog about them and think what you and they are doing is COOL, is even sadder. We've turned into a "camera on me" society when, lets face it, these performers (and the people who pay them) aren't all that interesting, smart or talented and haven't earned the right to call themselves a "star" and most definitely aren't worthy of star attention.

If your argument is that there are wackos out there who might stalk or obsess over these pretty sex performers, and that they need their privacy because of it...let me repeat what I said before: DONT FUCK ON VIDEOTAPE. Before the internet, it wasn't as likely to come back and haunt some dumb but hot young guy who wanted to make a few bucks jacking off on film. But now that we're an online world and the shit that's posted on the internet is there for a fucking eternity....if a person is concerned with their co-workers, lovers, friends or family finding out? They shouldn't fucking do it in the first place! It's just that simple. For every action there is a reaction. It's the law of the fucking universe.

Peace love and penis grease.
