August 17, 2006 New York, NY - Pornstar Michael Lucas will travel to Israel from August 29 to September 4 to reach out to those affected by the war. The CEO and star of New York based gay adult studio Lucas Entertainment will act as both a war correspondent and a source of entertainment during his time abroad.
In the tradition of American USO style shows, Lucas will provide scores of Israeli soldiers with an opportunity to enjoy a live sex show. On Friday September 1, 2006, Lucas will partner with Lucas Entertainment star Jack MacCarthy for their performance at Male VOX in Tel Aviv. "Hopefully I can bring excitement where it is needed most. During times of war, outlets for sexual energy and expression are bleak, let alone moments for celebration. I look forward to bringing gay men together, and I will work hard to put on the greatest show for them," said Michael Lucas.
The trip marks Lucas's fourth time performing live sex shows in Israel, making him a premier attraction there. He has previously performed for a crowd of 3,000 at Club TLV in Tel Aviv, a crowd of 1,500 at Male Vox, and at Club Luna in Haifa.
Lucas' travels will be documented on camera as he speaks to the people most impacted by the war. He will travel to the most devastated areas of the country and interview people one-on-one.
"People need to see the faces of war, and I plan to shed light on the world where gay Israel exists," said Lucas. "I will expose the reality that the people of Israel face right now, especially that of gay Israelis who are targeted by the hate of Hezbollah. In Israel, there is no don't ask don't tell insanity that plagues the American military, so there are many out soldiers. I plan to provide a window to the world showing those who fight for freedom and Western ideals."
Abu Oudai, chief rocket coordinator for the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade in the West Bank, was quoted recently saying, "If we do [what Hezbollah accomplished], this Israeli army full of gay soldiers and full of corruption and with old-fashioned war methods can be defeated also in Palestine."
An American citizen since 2004, Michael grew up gay and Jewish in Russia. "I am no stranger to homophobia and anti-semitism. I come from Soviet Russia where homosexuality was a crime and Jews are treated as second-class citizens. Israel is the most special place in the world to me and my home away from home. The country and its people are very close to my heart. Every day I am glued to the television and all I want to do is be there.

It is interesting that this is called "War" rather than "Peace" or "No War" or something like that. At least it's honest, for Mr. Lucas seems to glorify war, though without actually volunteering for the Israeli army. In response to the kidnapping of two soldiers and the killing of three others by a rogue militia--a deplorable action that both sides are guilty of--Israel went on a violent rampage that killed nearly 1000 innocent Lebanese and devastated their country. Sorry, but this is not excused by having gays in its military. To claim to want to show "the face of war" but ignore the obvious travesty reveals what Lucas thinks of life, or at least Arab life. His racism however he himself documents on a "DVD extra" where he proclaims to "hate Palestinians" and repeatedly spits--a rather bizarre thing to put on a porno, but it shows where his head and heart are.
